Neil advises commercial clients on how to structure their businesses, as well as on buying and selling companies, partnerships, LLPs or sole trader businesses.
Neil’s core specialism is Commercial Law, and in particular the Telecoms, Media and Technology sectors, on matters such as IT and Internet start-up advice as well as Intellectual Property-related issues. Neil acts for a range of clients from start-ups to SMEs, both UK-based and overseas, in addition to high-net-worth shareholders and media/sports clients.
In 2004 Neil founded an IT company specialising in Local Government ICT solutions, selling and licensing software that he had developed. After qualifying into law Neil worked between Central London and Surrey, becoming a partner in a large regional firm in 2014 then head of Corporate & Commercial in 2015 in addition to heading up the firm’s London Office. Neil joined Fletcher Day as a partner in 2017. He is also the founder and editor of the Technology Law website, IT Legal.
