Greg is a partner in our Property Litigation team covering a range of real estate disputes.
Greg’s property litigation work includes commercial landlord & tenant such as lease renewals, forfeiture, dilapidations and breaches of covenant, land disputes including rights of way and adverse possession and residential landlord & tenant including possession proceedings, rent recovery and claims against squatters. Greg has particular experience in the retail and leisure industry and regularly acts for several large restaurant chains and retailers.
As well his work in the County Court and High Court Greg is regularly instructed in First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) proceedings including, modification of covenants, service charge disputes and forfeiture litigation. Greg has also acted on cases up to the Court of Appeal.
Greg also specialises in Professional Negligence claims against property professionals such as builders, surveyors, architects and property lawyers.
The Legal 500 2017 describes Greg as a solicitor “who stands out for his outstanding knowledge” and is “highly regarded in the restaurant sector” and the Legal 500 2016 described Greg as a lawyer who “works tirelessly to get a good result for clients”.
Greg is also instructed in commercial litigation work for his clients including commercial contract disputes.
Greg is an experienced advocate with Higher Rights of Audience (civil) regularly representing clients in the County Court and the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber). He also has experience of appearing as an advocate in the High Court and the Bankruptcy and Companies Court.
Greg regularly represents his clients in alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation.
Greg is a member of the Property Litigation Association, the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates.
