Jovita specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, both domestic and international. She has given talks on international arbitration and cross-border disputes at the Law Society and in Brussels.
Jovita took over the Dispute Resolution department in 2013 and has developed a thriving and profitable department. Since joining she has travelled to Moscow and secured instructions on a US$1 billion dispute, and to Cyprus after which she successfully defended six respondents (including PLCs) in a world-wide freezing injunction.
She has further developed our international offering by working alongside Spanish lawyers to successfully defend a £23 million world-wide freezing injunction on behalf of nine respondents. We also work closely with lawyers in MENA regions.
Closer to home Jovita has been involved in a number of high profile cases to include acting for 24 litigants following the Harlequin group litigation involving a £405 million investment in a property development in the Caribbean.
Jovita deals with all forms of contractual disputes and has extensive experience with high court litigation, arbitration and, other forms of Alternative Resolution Disputes ('ADR') in matters arising out of commercial contracts, financial disputes, fraudulent transactions, insurance, insolvency, professional negligence, oil & gas, shipping and construction.
